- Download FastNet - Click Here for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP | Click Here for Mac OS X
- When prompted, click OPEN or RUN.
- After it's downloaded, it will automatically start the installation process.
- Simply click NEXT each time it asks and when the install is done, it will ask for a username and password (It may ask you to reboot first).
- Your username is the full dial-up username given when you signed up. Call if you are not sure.
- After you input your username and password the ICON will show up in the lower right corner of your screen next to the Time Display.
- The accelerator is now installed and will automatically speed you up and change color as you surf.
- The icon will change color when it's speeding you up.
- You can right click on the icon and select Statistics to see how much it's speeding you up.
- If you need to change the username or password, right click on the icon and select Settings.
- If FastNet isn't started, it will have a yellow X through the icon and it will not allow any web pages to load. Double check your username - it will have an "@" sign, call us if you are not sure what your FastNet username is. To start FastNet, right click on it and select "Start FastNet".
- If you need to do a Windows Update (http://www.windowsupdate.com), temporarily disable FastNet and HyperNet by right clicking on it and select STOP. Re-enable it when the update is done. Another alternative is, you can setup a proxy exlusion list - Click Here for directions
